I am an intaglio printmaker living and working on the island of Maui and specialize in Aquatint Etchings. Recently I have been printing on Kimono Silk that I purchase in Japan. Many of the Kimonos that I buy are antiques and I prepare them for printing the same way Scroll Makers have done for hundreds of years by backing the silk with handmade Japanese Hadaura paper.My handpulled editions are usually only 15 images and each print is done on a different type of silk making them one of a kind.
